Who is Mr. Clark?
This is Mr. Clark's fifth year at Chassell Township Schools. Previously he worked as a long term sub in various areas including: Center Line High School(Teaching Choir) and Tyrone Elementary (Teaching General Music). He received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Instrumental Education from Wayne State University in December of 2016 after student teaching at Center Line Middle/High School (Band) and at Livonia Churchill(Orchestra)/Livonia Frost Middle School (Band and orchestra)
Prior to moving up to Chassell, Mr. Clark was commonly asked to perform in or conduct pit orchestras for various musicals. Some of these musicals include: Seussical The Musical (Conducted + Performed), Les Miserables (Performed 3 times), Disney's The Little Mermaid(Conducted and Performed) and Wizard of Oz (Conducted and Performed).
As a performer, he has been asked to sub in with the Macomb Symphony Orchestra(Contra-bassoon) and The International Symphony Orchestra(Bassoon) to name a few. He was also the soloist for a world premier of a bassoon concerto written by a colleague of his.
Currently, he performs with the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra at MTU. On occasion, he is also asked to perform with the Northern Michigan University Choral Society.
Mr. Clark enjoys working with all of the students, faculty and parents at Chassell, and hopes to continue growing the Chassell music program to the best it can be.
